Sentence Analysis Complete Set provides all the necessary materials to learn how to analyze basic and complex sentences. Chart 1 demonstrates the layout of a subject, a predicate, and a direct object in a basic sentence. The corresponding box allows children to work with basic sentences using the moveable parts(geometric shapes and arrows.) Chart 2 is a larger chart that demonstrates the layout of a subject, a predicate, a direct object, a direct object, and adverbials in a complex sentence. The moveable parts of the corresponding boxes provide children with work to practice analyzing more complex sentences. The first box contains arrows with eliciting questions on one side to help children understand the functions of words/phrases in a sentence. The second box contains arrows with eliciting questions on one side and grammatical terms on the other side. The third box contains only the grammatical terms, weaning children off eliciting questions, and leading them to more autonomy in analyzing sentences.
Our complete set is made with smooth premium materials built to sustain multiple years of use. All pieces are calibrated which ensures that children benefit from the purposefully sized materials (e.g. predicate is the largest circle to show its importance.) Our boxes are compartmentalized to facilitate storage and enhance objects' visibility when in use.
