The pegs are nice. They are a bit to snug in the pegboard and difficult to remove, but I am trusting that with a bit of use, they will loosen up. The only thing that keeps me from calling the set excellent is that the plastic cups (for each decimal category) have an aperture that is too narrow and are a bit small. The child will have to pour out the pegs in order to confirm that they have counted out the right number. In a perfect world, the child would be able to look into the cup, push them around with their fingers and double check the count. Lower and wider would be better.
