We are continuing our series of materials on chemistry with 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 . After learning about the characteristics of matter and the different ways matter can transform based on heat, children can further learn how to measure matter.

There are seven basic units of measurement that were defined by the International System of Units (SI), which are called the SI units. The seven units are meter, second, mole, ampere, kelvin, candela, and kilogram.

This knowledge is essential for young learners as they develop an early understanding that matter comes in many states, and therefore; requires different ways of measurements.

Our new exclusive wooden Puzzle with Research Cards, 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 , has reversible parts with labels on one side and pictograms on the other side. This helps children self-assess their knowledge. An inner circle contains puzzle pieces that represent the abbreviation for each unit (kg, m, cd, mol, s, K, S). The Research Cards contain age-appropriate vocabulary which provides real-life examples.
